Privacy Policy

JobCamLog works on your phone without an account. Your projects, photos, videos, notes, client details and business profile stay on your phone. We run no server for your content and it is never sent to us.

Permissions

• Camera: to take your before and after photos, only while you shoot.
• Location (optional, only while the app is open): to fill in the job address and, if you turn it on, to stamp the date and place on your photos. To look up the address, the location is sent to Apple's address service. It is never sent to us or to any other company. If you say no, you type the address yourself.
• Photos: only to save your finished videos and photos to your library.
• Notifications (optional): to remind you to shoot the after and to tell you when your video is ready. Notifications are created on your phone.

Usage data (PostHog)

To improve the app we send anonymous usage events, for example a project was created, a video was made, the share button was tapped, the purchase screen was shown. Events carry a random ID generated by PostHog; they are not tied to your name, email or Apple Account, and no person profile is built. Project names, addresses, phone numbers, client details, notes, photos and videos are never part of an event. No automatic tap capture, screen recording or advertising identifier is used. No location is derived from events and your connection IP address is not stored.

Turn off Settings > Privacy > "Share anonymous usage data" and no further events are sent. Events already sent are not tied to a person, so they cannot be looked up per person. PostHog's practices: https://posthog.com/privacy

Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Apple takes the payment; your card details never reach us or RevenueCat. To run your subscription status and "Restore purchases", RevenueCat receives your purchase history, a random app user ID, Apple's per-app device identifier (not the advertising identifier) and basic app and device information. This data is not tied to your name or Apple Account and is not used for advertising or tracking. Turning off usage data does not affect purchases. Sharing and backup

You decide where a video or PDF goes (Instagram, WhatsApp, Photos and others). A copy you send is governed by the app you send it to. Your video's end card and your PDFs show the business name, phone number and Instagram username you entered in Settings. A backup is a ZIP file of all your projects; it is created only when you export it, and you choose where it is saved.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your phone until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Removing the app deletes all JobCamLog data on the phone; we suggest exporting a backup first.

Children

JobCamLog is made for businesses and tradespeople and is not designed for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the current text is published on this page with a new effective date.
